Our Steps for Sustainable Development

Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of
the present without compromising the ability of future generations to
meet their own needs. Buildings consume a large share of energy in the whole
world. According to (UNEP & IEA, 2018) the worldwide extraction of materials has
tripled in the last four decades. This has intensified climate change and air
pollution. Among the total amount of material extractions, Asia has overtaken the
rest of the world. If we look towards the energy consumption and potential
emission from different sectors, the building and construction sector consumes
about 34% energy and emits 39% of total CO 2 equivalent. In India one third of the
total national energy consumption is credited to the buildings.

Yogesh Enterprises has a policy for sustainable development. We always
thrive to minimize the impact on our mother nature. To make this world a better
safer place for tomorrow, we have moved from conventional clay bricks to AAC
(Aerated Autoclaved Concrete) blocks. AAC blocks have almost 80% air voids
without compromising in the strength of the material. One of the main
ingredients of these AAC blocks is fly-ash (65% of its weight), a by-product from
the thermal power plant industry produced by burning of coals. These, fly-ash
have no other proper use and if not dumped properly may lead to respiratory
diseases. AAC block is one of the finest uses of this waste material to reduce the
carbon footprint of our nation and your own household.

Apart from these, here are some more benefits –

  • AAC Blocks have the highest thermal rating in the construction industry, reducing your air conditioning cost by 30%. Air voids in its structure prevents the transmission of heat inside the house in warm and cold weathers.
  • Air voids provide better resistance against fire and sound transmission.
  • Being lighter in weight it reduces the dead load of the building, which in turn reduces the requirement of steel; leading to the reduction in overall cost of construction.
  • Because of the discontinued and cellular micro structure, AAC blocks are superior to clay bricks in resistance to water penetrability, which helps to prevent external moisture.

With the use of AAC Blocks, the Construction Engineers at Yogesh
Enterprises have laid a path to a better, safer and cleaner future. We recognise
and adhere to our responsibility of developing, not just buildings, but Sustainable
and Green Buildings . Are you with us in this journey?
